This club is fairly new, thus the empty gallery and members list.
Note though, that we are currently recruiting members for this community.
All citizens of Esthar, Galbadia, Balamb, Deling, Dollet, Timber, Centra, Tears Point, Trabia and those who are avid followers of the stories of the World of Final Fantasy VIII are welcome.


PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE JOINING

Being an active member doesn't just mean lurking around. Artwork contributions are encouraged. Spreading the word about our community would be a big help too. Now...

HOW TO JOIN

1.) Send us a NOTE with the subject "JOINING BALAMB GARDEN".
Take note of the subject title because the word joining will also be used for other purposes like contests etc. DON'T send any kind of request to join or submit at the Front Page. All requests submitted through the front page will be ignored.

2.) It is mandatory (required) that you place our seal (avatar) in your journals.
To do so, type : iconbalamb-garden : without the spaces between the colons.

3.) Put us on your devwatch list by clicking "Watch this Deviant" at the upper right of your page. This ensures that you receive updates from us regularly.


GARDEN RULES AND REGULATIONS

• DO NOT use this page as a chatroom. No flooding on the front page and no verbal violence..

• Respect the member/s' artwork/s and artistic abilities.

• Do NOT flood the notes section with the same note. We will read everything, even if at a slow pace. Everything will be sorted out. No need for flooding. If a member floods the notes section with the same message, he/she will either be refused admission into the Garden or be kicked out if he/she is already a member.

• Stock Photography will not be accepted as deviations.

• Stolen artworks are strictly prohibited. If an artwork submitted is reported to be stolen, it will immediately be removed and the member claiming to own it will either be suspended or kicked out of the Garden and reported to the DA Admin.

• Artworks that are copied exactly as shown in the original piece will be accepted, provided that the member submitting the artwork states in his/her description that it is copied and the original artist should ALWAYS be credited.

• Contests will be held every other month. Some special contests may be held in between the regular contests. A maximum of 2 entries per member will be allowed.

• Admin and moderators personal accounts are to remain confidential to avoid flooding on their page. All ~Balamb-Garden notes will be sent here.

HOW TO SUBMIT ARTWORKS

1.) Send us a note with the subject "SUBMIT ARTWORK".

2.) All artworks will be placed under the category FAN ART since it is clear that all Final Fantasy VIII artworks ARE fan artworks.

3.) The note should contain the ff:
>>>a.) the link to your artwork (only submitted on your own deviantart page. No external links please.)
>>>b.) the description to go with it. (concepts, tools used, credits and disclaimers)
>>>c.) the tags you want us to place (separate each tag with a space)

4.) Comments will be turned off and a link to your artwork will be placed, accompanied by a comment indicating that all comments should be directed to you

5.) To avoid flooding and to ensure that all submitted artworks are posted, a maximum of 2 deviations PER MEMBER PER DAY is allowed. If you have a ton to submit, then do so in the following days.


HOW TO SUBMIT FAN FICTION

1.) Send us a note with the subject SUBMIT FANFIC, then follow rules 2-5 for submitting artworks.


HOW TO JOIN CONTESTS

1.) Send us a note with the subject "JOIN *CONTEST NAME*", then follow rules 2-5 for submitting artworks. This ensures that all contest entries are set aside from regular submissions and plucked out of the notes folder for immediate sorting and judging.

This club isn't even one month old...but we badly need more members. A lot more.
The October contest will be tentatively moved. We need more members to participate!
